BUILDING FUND CAMPAIGNS
We purchased 336 N. Woodland Boulevard, DeLand, in May of 2015 & we need your help to get it paid off by May 2020! Give online or send us a check & note “building fund”.
We also want to build an East Volusia Building Fund! We believe God is calling us to MOVE our Edgewater Center to New Smyrna Beach! Maybe you can help us fund this so that many more young people who need us can find our help!
We got a generous, extra donation from one of our monthly donors. As he wrote his check, he told us that 12 years ago his daughter was planning to abort without mentioning it to her parents. She came to Grace House & instead she made a decision to place her baby for adoption. The donor cried as he wrote his check out, saying that he is so thankful for Grace House because his grandson is alive & being raised in a strong Christian home. They get updates & pictures regularly about their grandson.
January – Sanctity of Human Life Month
FREE 2018 Sanctity of Human Life Materials
Each January we offer great materials to promote a culture of life & highlight God’s work through the mission of Grace House! We offer free bulletin inserts, videos and/or speakers during the month for Sunday and/or mid-week church services or for small groups.
Candlelight Prayer Vigil – January 22nd 7-8pm DeLand (County seat) Courthouse Steps- 101 N Alabama Avenue, DeLand, FL
In remembrance of those lost to abortion, we meet on the on the Roe v Wade anniversary. We hear a short message, maybe a song, maybe a poem, see the baby shoes display, & pray together. Many come for this who’ve chosen abortion & regret it. Some come to honor those lost to them. Many come to stand for life. Please join us to remember them.
More information about SOHL Sunday
In 1983, President Ronald Reagan issued a proclamation establishing a National Sanctity of Human Life Sunday (SOHLS), a day set apart to focus on the intrinsic value of human life and the fundamental right to life, as recognized by the American Founding Fathers. Since then, SOHLS is held on the Sunday in January that falls closest to the day on which the Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton decisions were handed down by the U.S. Supreme Court on January 22, 1973.
During the times we live in, it is especially important to be a voice for the unborn by proclaiming God’s truth and the love of Jesus Christ to women facing unplanned pregnancies and their families. We invite you to join with us in a special day to promote the immeasurable value and importance of every life.
You can observe SOHLS on any Sunday in January. Typically, churches choose the Sunday before or after the January 22 anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Inspire a culture of life in your congregation by using whatever SOHLS materials that work best for your church.
Materials are available from many sources, but Grace House offers our quality items~with info about our own community~to you at no cost, as a part of our ministry to our community. Our printed materials & videos bring awareness to the reality of abortion still present in our communities and highlight the life-saving work being done at our local pregnancy centers. See above for our free materials.
Pastors, teachers, please use our Online Resources page to find sermon helps, statistics, etc.
Should churches observe Sanctity of Life Sunday? It’s an important question.

Annual LIFE Gala
Coming April 30, 2019
People who care about LIFE & young adults facing crisis unite in one accord for this annual fundraiser dinner. We show what God is doing through this mission & tell how to partner with us to help the vulnerable unborn as well as the moms & dads facing unplanned pregnancies. Each year we seek business, churches, groups, & individuals to help sposnor the event in order to lead the way for others who may be unsure about supporting our mission.
We offer tables to our sponsors, volunteers, staff, financial givers, in-kind donors, & Church Ambassadors to host & bring people who may have the heart & ability to engage with our mission! No extra funds are needed. If you have the ability & heart to help sponsor the event, that is ever better!
During the evening we experience dinner & sweet fellowship, a ministry update, an inspirational speaker, sometimes music, & get the opportunity to become a LIFE SUPPORTER! This event helps to supply the funding our centers need to stay open to offer life & the Gospel!
If you’re already a supporter, we want you there! It would bless us more than you know if you could be there & renew your pledge of support for the coming year. Giving an extra amount that night, above what you already give, is not necessary.
If you haven’t been to our banquet/gala in a while, please come! You’ll be blessed to see how OUR FAMILY HAS grown.
If you’re not that familiar with us but would like to meet our entire family & learn more, please come. We want you to be a part!
We are hoping to have 700 people there that night for the cause of LIFE so we need your help to make this our biggest & best event ever!
THANKS TO OUR SPONSORS, IT’S FREE TO ATTEND!
A FINANCIAL APPEAL WILL BE DONE DURING THE PROGRAM.
A night with Kirk Walden is an evening filled with humor, challenge, vision and hope. Kirk’s journey into pregnancy help ministry—where he has served for more than 20 years—leads through life as a sports writer, professional golfer, and even nine years as a single dad.
Kirk is also author of The Wall, a book sweeping through the pro-life community with a powerful message—outlining a path to ending abortion as we know it in the next decade. His blog is found at www.kirkwalden.com. In addition to his speaking and writing, Kirk serves as an Advancement Specialist for Heartbeat International, the world’s largest affiliate organization for the pregnancy help community.
When you hear Kirk, leave the challenges of the day behind and get ready to laugh with a speaker with whom everyone can identify. In addition, be prepared for a surprising view on the true impact of pregnancy help ministries all over the country. If you are ready to create a true culture of life in America—Kirk brings a powerful perspective on how the battle will be won in this generation.
Kirk lives in Hendersonville, Tenn.—a Nashville suburb—with his wife Jennifer. They have five children, ranging in age from 27 to 7. Now there’s another story waiting to be told!
WE NEED CHURCHES, GROUPS, BUSINESSES, & INDIVIDUALS TO HELP SPONSOR THIS EVENT! Maybe you or someone you know will help? Impact people for good & get marketing perks to our 2300 email friends & 6500 mail recipients!
Ways you can help are:

- Host – invite family, church family, & friends to sit with you at your table (or tables) of 8!
- Attend– be there. Bring a friend or two or three if you’d like.
The BEST way to help is to do all 3 ~ Sponsor/Host/Attend.
